Tips for a good ad optional
- ✓ Be honest about the condition — describe wear, repairs and known faults. It gives buyers confidence and means fewer haggling disputes.
- ✓ Take photos in daylight — on land or on the water. Show the hull, deck, cockpit, engine bay and interior.
- ✓ State engine hours and the last service — it's among the first things boat buyers look for.
- ✓ Include equipment in the description — chartplotter, sounder, canopy, VHF, life jackets, trailer.
- ✓ Mention the berth or storage arrangement — if the marina berth can be transferred, that's a big plus.
- ✓ Set a realistic price — compare with similar boats of the same size and age.
- ✓ Check the insurance — as a seller you typically have a month's notice period; make sure the buyer has insurance ready before handover.
